How to make a Scalloped Rectangle

Recycled Box Card

My girls often get Fruit Snacks as gifts and I always find the boxes too cute to simply throw in the recycle bin.

Since the Scallop Square die for the Big Shot is clear, you can move the box around on the die and cut out exactly the part that you want.  I then mounted the scallop square onto a square card:

 
To cover the Assorted Fruit Flavored Snacks logo in the bottom corner, I simply added a greeting layered on a Scallop Circle.

Easter Basket

I was playing with the Big Shot and came up with this adorable Easter Basket using the Basket & Blooms die.  I used the colors Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery and So Saffron for a Color Challenge on Create with Connie & Julie.

You might have overlooked the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die because it is hidden on the bottom of page 24 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It cuts out the butterflies and embosses them at the same time!

Quilting with the Big Shot

The Big Shot makes cutting fabric a breeze!  Depending on the thickness of your fabric, you can cut up to 8 layers at a time.

• 5-Point 3D Star Bigz die
• Scallop Circle #2 Bigz die
• Background fabric (two 10" x 10" squares)
• 10" x 10" square 100% cotton batting
• Ric-rac (6")
• Sewing machine and thread

You can see that I just punched another hole with the Crop-a-Dile, threaded the ribbon through and knotted it in the back.
