What a day!

After spending the morning stamping, I planned to share a card or two with you this afternoon.  Instead I was able to get to the school in 5 minutes after the call saying that my daughter does indeed have strep throat even though yesterday we told you that she didn't.  Fabulous!  So through the drive-thru pharmacy we go and back home to daughter #2 who says "My throat hurts."  Back to the doctor and another run through the drive-thru pharmacy.

I am so thankful for drive-thru pharmacies and that my job gives me the flexibility to take care of my children when they need me.  So the cards will have to wait until tomorrow, but if you're interested in more information in a job that gives you flexibility, you can read more here.

The Game has Changed

I was in awe watching Shaun White make snowboarding look like a cake walk last night.  Before the event, the announcers were talking about how the game had changed since Shaun won gold 4 years ago.  Shaun knew the game had changed, so he changed his game.  If he had done the same run he did 4 years ago, he said he might be getting 5th place this year.

Well he changed his game big time, had an impressive performance (an understatement) and he walked away with the gold again.

What a decade!

A decade comes to an end tonight and as I reflect back on the last 10 years, I am so thankful for having Stampin' Up! in my life. 

It has satisfied my love for travel as I traveled to conventions in Palm Springs, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Memphis, Orlando, Kansas City, Las Vegas and many more places, as well as cruise the Caribbean. 

It has allowed me to contribute to the family finances, stay at home with my two daughters and buy my family extraslike vacations, a piano and a backyard play set.

I love what I do!  I love sharing my love of stamping and paper-crafting, meeting new people, making new friends... the list goes on and on!

As I look forward to the next 10 years, I know that Stampin' Up! will continue to expand my horizons, enrich my life and help me achieve my goals.

Tip for putting adhesive on small pieces of card stock

The next time you use up a sheet of dimensionals, save the empty dimensional sheet.  When you are putting SNAIL adhesive on a skinny piece of card stock, put the glossy side of the dimensional sheet underneath.  No extra adhesive on your table or grid paper!

This is just ONE of the many tips that I heard at the Stampin' Up! demonstrator meeting that I attended last weekend.  If you've thought of starting your own rubber stamping and scrapbooking business, but haven't because you are worried about having enough project ideas or your lack of stamping experience... don't worry!
