that I don't even know where to begin! I returned on Sunday from the annual Stampin' Up! convention and haven't posted since because I have so many new things to share with you that I just couldn't decide what to start with!
Well, I've got to start somewhere, so I decided to begin by sharing one of the make n' takes we did. Each convention attendee received three stamp sets that will be in the new Fall-Winter catalog. One of those sets is called Inspired by Nature. It is totally not my style stamp set, or one that I would have purchased, but I am already lovin' it!
So, here's the Gift Bag that we made...
And a side view...
Supplies: Inspired by Nature stamp set; Tangerine Tango (new InColor!) and Whisper White card stock; Tangerine Tango Patterns Designer Series Paper; Tangerine Tango and Basic Black Classic ink; Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad; VersaMark pad; White Gift Sack; So Saffron 7/8" poly twill ribbon (NEW!); Sticky Strip, Crop-a-Dile; Paper Snips; Stamp-a-ma-jig; sticky notes
The new trick that I learned from this project was how to make a faux bow.
To make this faux bow, you'll want to start with three lengths of ribbon. (For this particular project, cut 3 So Saffron ribbon pieces - 3", 7" and 10".) Attach the ends of the 10" piece of ribbon behind the card stock. Adhere one end of the 7" ribbon to the other end of itself to create a loop. Wrap the 3" ribbon around the middle of the looped 7" ribbon to create a faux bow and adhere the bow to the ribbon across the card stock. No tying involved!
If you'd like to see this project (and the 7 other projects that I made) in person so that you can see it in 3-D and touch it, RSVP now to attend my New Catalog Reveal Party on Thursday, August 14.
