My favorite thing about Stampin’ Up! is their color coordination. If you are color challenged like me, you’ll love that you can get coordinating colors of ink pads, markers, papers, and embellishments. It will make your paper crafting so much easier!
Every year in their annual catalog, Stampin’ Up! introduces 5 NEW colors and this year the new In Colors are Magenta Madness, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, BumbleBee and Cinnamon Cider.
As a demonstrator, I was able to already get some of the new color papers and I am absolutely in love with Magenta Madness. IT IS SOOOOOO BRIGHT!!! I love it.
Just Jade and Misty Moonlight are a little more muted, but both are colors I think I will use a lot of.
BumbleBee seems very close to Crushed Curry, just a little more mustardy. It’s nice, but I don’t know that I’ll choose to use it all that often.
You may have noticed that I didn’t use the final new color, Cinnamon Cider, on my cards. That’s because I call it baby poop brown. Sorry!!! I’m sure it will look lovely on fall cards or with the perfect color combinations but right now I’m not a fan.
I’ll stick to the pretty colors in the pack, thank you.
Want to make some cards like these? I just flipped this Rainbow Color Block technique on its side and used four 1″ strips instead of 5.
