Shrink Down Your Cards… Or Blow Them Up!

Handmade cards come in all shapes and sizes.  When you find an idea you like, make the most of it by shrinking it down or blowing it up to get the size you want.  I made this 3"x3" gift card at a recent Stampin’ Up! event hosted by Kristen Bryant.  I loved the idea so much that I blew it up to make it into a full size card. Blow it up even more by using the polka dot theme, ribbon and birthday embellishment on a scrapbook page.  Add your favorite birthday photos and you’re done.  Of course it works…

Reason to Smile Cards

Cards can be sent for any number of occasions, but a handmade card always gives a reason to smile.  Sometimes making the cards you need at the right time can be a challenge though. Making a batch of cards can be quick and easy when you take one design and add different words of greeting.  Flowers are a great image to use when making "generic" cards.  Just leave a blank space for a greeting and you can stamp the words when you know what you need the card for!  Happy Birthday, Thinking of You, Sympathy, Thank You… any of these…

Seriously, why can’t I get birthday cards in the mail on time? I know the birthdays are coming (most of the time). I’m reminded by my Birthday Calendar and Facebook reminders. So why can’t I get birthday cards in the mail? So many different reasons can be the culprit.  Not having birthday cards on hand is usually one issue.  That means I’d have to find the time to make them.  Not easy during the summer with vacations and kids home.
