Cutting Tips for Rainbow Glimmer Paper:

  • Have one blade that you use for cutting glittery paper because it will dull your blade. Sometimes I turn my glitter paper upside down to cut it but that didn’t work well for the Rainbow Glimmer Paper and left too much white along the cut edge.
  • To make 5 cards like this, start with one 4″ x 12″ piece of Rainbow Glimmer Paper.
  • Cut two 5-1/4″ pieces from that piece. I started measuring from the yellow edge for these cards.
  • For the first card, add a piece of adhesive sheet behind where you’ll cut the “thanks” from. Cut out “thanks”. You could make 2 cards with these pieces: one with the background and one with the “thanks” but I really liked how this worked together.
  • Use a stitched rectangle die to cut out the center of the green/purple piece. Use the frame to make one card. TIP: If your frame didn’t get cut evenly, cut a piece of card stock so that it covers the inside of the frame and make your card from there.
  • Cut a flower out of the smaller stitched rectangle rainbow piece. You’ll hide the cut-out behind a circle or other shape on card #3.
  • Cut two leaves out of the center of the green glitter strip. You can cover up where you cut out the leaves with your main image piece like on card #5.

When assembling your cards, place dimensionals where you cut out the flower and leaves from the glimmer paper. Sometimes adhesives don’t stay stuck to the glimmer paper very well.
