Extra Hostess Benefits

By | Cards | No Comments

This is the last card that we made at my March Stamp Class.  I have just a couple Classes by Mail Kits left. The striped and floral paper is from the Le Jardin Designer Series Paper pack. I used the Time Well Spent hostess set for the flower.  It’s stamped in Basic Black ink and colored in with the blender pen and the Ballet Blue, So Saffron, Creamy Caramel and Always Artichoke ink pads. The flower and leaves were cut out with the Paper Snips and popped up with dimensionals.  This is a great way to use up the edges…

Occasions Mini Catalog

Here is another card that we are doing at my March Stamp Class tonight. It was shown at Stampin’ Up! Leadership and I loved it right away for a couple of reasons. First, I love that it opens differently than a regular card.  The clasp closure reminds me of an interoffice envelope.  The cool thing is that it is the same size as a regular card, so it will still fit in an envelope to send. Only 10 more days to Sale-A-Brate!

My sister and I went shopping on Wednesday and it was so fun to see all the new spring things out.  I was drawn to all the floral sun hats, flip-flops, sunglasses and dresses that were in the color combos of this card.  Maybe it’s because I have two girls, but it also gave me hope that spring will be here soon! This card was made using the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Friendship Blooms.  The color combo is Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose, and the accessories are Wild Wasabi striped ribbon and Soft Subtles brads. The main image…

Beaded Staple Tutorial

By | Cards, Techniques | No Comments

This is a card that was demonstrated at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference that I went to in January. Using beaded staples as an accent on your card was a new technique for me. The photos were taken by Ginger Abrose (one of my roomies at Leadership and another SU! demo). This technique was demonstrated during one of the general sessions and Ginger took photos of the large screen. Want to learn more stamping techniques, view hundreds of card, scrapbook and 3-D ideas and have a blast with thousands of other crazy stamping women?  Sign up to be a demonstrator…

Happy Anniversary

By | Cards | No Comments

Earlier this month a very special couple at our church celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. I made this card for them using the Year after Year stamp set, a retired numbers set, the Rough Edges Mini Alphabet and the Hugs & Wishes set. The base of the card is Whisper White because my grandma always tells me that is hard for her to read messages written on dark card stock. The corners of the main image were clipped off with the Ticket Corner punch.  I sponged over the whole piece of Whisper White card stock to cover up the red…
