Christmas In July!

By | Gift Ideas | One Comment

I know that it is 80+ degrees outside and you may be thinking “Christmas!?!?!?”, but as crafters we need to start on our projects early!  Last year I started my Christmas cards in early September and yet I still did not finish them until December. Thoughtful, hand-made gifts can take even longer to think of and prepare.  So, that’s why I will be sharing Christmas ideas with you all month long. (I’m sure there will be some non-Christmas ideas too, so don’t be scared away!)   These coaster ornaments make a great gift for anyone… add a photo to the back and…

I’m back… with some gift ideas

By | Gift Ideas | No Comments

I’m back! My posts were woefully lacking during May as my 2-year old has stopped sleeping!!! We are still working on the sleeping, but I think I’ve figured out how to get some things done around it. I found some photos of Christmas gifts that I made last year and thought I would share them with you.  Last year for our gift exchange my siblings and I decided that we would pick names and that the gifts had to be something that you made or that you already had – nothing could be purchased.  If you find yourself strapped for cash…

A 5×5 Art Journal by my sister…

By | Gift Ideas, Scrapbooking | No Comments

I wanted to share this cute mini album that my sister, Mary Wick, made for her friend’s birthday.  Mary is a freshman in high school and does a lot of scrapbooking.  She loves to use stickers and Stampin’ Up!’s Simply Scrappin’ Kits. A few of the inside pages of the album show some great ways…

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I thought I would share a quick gift idea. What do you give someone who has everything?  Pictures of their beautiful grandchildren!  I love to put together albums of pictures for the grandparents as gifts and I am always on the lookout for new ideas on how to do that. This is a flip album that I quickly put together last night.  The Simply Scrappin’ Kits are perfect for this album. You can get two albums out of each kit and still have supplies left over! For this album I used the Crew Kids Girl…

Cookie Dough Truffles

By | Gift Ideas | No Comments

I first made these truffles as a gift for my sister’s birthday.  She loves truffles and cookie dough, so when I saw this recipe I immediately thought of her. I received a box of truffles for Christmas, so after finishing them off I saved the box and wrapped the top with a piece of Berry Bliss Designer Series paper.  I used an alphabet stamp set to stamp “truffles by jess” on the paper before I taped it to the box top with sticky strip.  After I loaded the box up with truffles I wrapped a piece of wide Chocolate Chip…
