Where do you find color inspiration for card making?

It’s all around you!

One of the hardest parts of making a card can be deciding what colors to use.

Often I find myself getting in a “color rut” where I use the same colors over and over and over again on my cards. While there’s nothing wrong with that, sometimes you just want to mix it up.

There are a number of tools that you can use to find color combinations for your cards, but I encourage you to get yourself off your phone/computer and out of the craft room to find color inspiration.

Get out and explore the world around you, then jot down fun color combinations as you see them.

Just looking around here are some great color combos that I see…

Flirty Flamingo
Lovely Lipstick
Basic Black

(from a makeup bag)

Whisper White
Bermuda Bay
Night of Navy

(from my daughter’s pajama pants)

So Saffron
Pool Party
Coastal Cabana

(from a book cover)

Pineapple Punch
Flirty Flamingo
Granny Apple Green
Night of Navy

(from a beach bag)

And those are just a few of the many color combos I’ll see today!

So take a look around. What color combos do you see that make you want to use them on a card?

Share your color combo in the comments and then go make a card with those colors!

Happy Stamping!
