Yesterday instead of Black Friday shopping, we declared it “Craft Friday” at our house. We had fun making Christmas cards and a few other top secret projects.

The most fun for me was when my younger daughter and her friend were going to make Christmas cards and my daughter asked if they could make One Sheet Wonder cards. My older daughter has been making tons of One Sheet Wonder cards, so it was nice to see that the younger one has been paying attention. 🙂 I said yes, of course!

Once I set them up with their own stamping stations they picked their stamps and ink colors, then went to work stamping their own background papers.

IMPORTANT: When you are crafting with kids, it’s important to encourage them and give them tips but please DON’T take over or tell them they HAVE to do something a certain way. Let them be creative!!! They might not do it the way you would, but they are making the card. Let them make it. It’s okay if it looks like a kid made it… they did!

Once they had their backgrounds stamped, I helped them cut it up according to a One Sheet Wonder template. We chose the templates based on what they wanted: “one of those diagonal ones”, and which direction they had stamped their paper.

Then they got busy making cards! When they needed a break they first decided that they needed to set up their cards to photograph them. Then they texted photos of the cards to my husband and the friend’s mom. They were so proud!

Here’s the first batch of cards they both made…

I helped them with some cutting and things first… like showing them how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig and how to clean the stamps! Then I just let them go and was available if they needed help. I think they did a great job!

These girls are 9 and 10 years old. If they can do it, so can you. Learn the One Sheet Wonder method by taking one of my online video classes. I’ll show you step-by-step how easy it is and you can make cards using any paper crafting supplies that you have.

Two of my One Sheet Wonder classes are 50% OFF this weekend! They each contain 4 different One Sheet Wonder templates. Grab them here: and get started making one sheet wonder cards now.
