Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop! I’ve been blogging for over 10 years and today I’m participating in my FIRST EVER blog hop!
Thank you to Kylie Bertucci and her group of Crazy Crafters for inviting me to participate. We will all be CASING (which means Copy and Selectively Editing in this case) past projects from MY blog. Wow, I’m always honored when anyone is inspired by anything I make!
It’s got a nice easy layout that’s easy to recreate with any supplies you have.
On my original card I created my own background by stamping the suns in VersaMark ink (details here along with 5 VersaMark techniques you can try), but this time I decided to start with some patterned paper for my background.
Here’s what I came up with…
3 cards all made with fun patterned paper from the Tutti-Frutti paper pack.
Nothing says summer like bright colored citrus! I went off script a bit for this one and used a color that’s NOT recommended to coordinate with this paper pack – Pumpkin Pie. Since I’m color challenged I usually stick with the colors listed on the paper pack but sometimes you just gotta go with your gut.
With black & white stripes you could make this card in SO MANY different colors! For this one I used Lemon Lime Twist and I’m thinking I’ll try it with Berry Burst next.
Finally I chose this apple & pear paper because I loved the pops of red. I pulled two colors out of the paper – Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist to use for the ink and card stock.
All 3 of these cards use paper of the same sizes:
Card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Patterned Paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (here’s how to get 6 cards out of one 12×12 patterned paper)
Banners: 1″ x 3″
Circle Size: 2-3/8″
This truly is an easy layout to use for any occasion so I hope you’ll add it to your bank of creative ideas.

Once you’re done with the blog hop, pick an idea you were inspired by and go make something!
