Everybody loves a fun fold and this card has an easy one that’s still a WOW!
How to Make the Fun Fold Card Bases:
I find it easiest to start with a 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of card stock for the main base, score it at 4-1/4”, fold it into a card, and then cut 2-1/8” off the front. (If you don’t like detailed measurements, 2” will do.)
For the smaller top base, start with a piece that’s 4-1/4” x 6-1/2” and score at 3-1/4”.
Decorate your larger card base
You can stamp on the “inside” of the larger main base, add a piece of patterned paper, or it’s totally okay to leave it plain. I stamped my leaves with the VersaMark pad for a subtle pattern.
VersaMark is a watermark ink so when stamped it looks the color of whatever color cardstock you are stamping on.
Next, you’ll want to stamp or add a piece of patterned paper to the front flap of the larger card base.
Now you can tape the smaller card on the front!
I sized the smaller card base so a 3”x4” piece of patterned paper fits on the front.
This is one of my favorite sizes because you can get 12 out of one sheet of 12×12 patterned paper!
This beautiful painted paper is from Stampin’ Up!’s Hues of Happiness paper pack.
And this flower is from that same paper pack! It’s really easy to cut out with the coordinating Blossoming Happiness dies.
Add a little Wink of Stella to make your flower shimmer!
Of course, you could stamp your own flower and color it in, or replace the flower with any image you want.
The greeting on the front of my card is stamped on a ½” x 3” strip of white cardstock.
Add a 3”x4” piece of white to the inside after you’ve stamped your greeting on it and you’re ready to write and send your card.
