I introduced you to the NEW 2020-2022 In Colors from Stampin’ Up! in this post, but today I want to show you more of what you can make with each color.

Each of the following cards started with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of card stock that was then embossed with an embossing folder to add texture and design.

Let’s start with my favorite, Magenta Madness….

Magenta Madness: 2-9/16″ x 3-15/16″ (stitched rectangle die) and 4″ x 5-1/4″ (embossed with Ornate Floral Folder)
Whisper White: 2-13/16″ x 4-3/16″
Whisper White card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

The main flower stamp used on this card is from the Jar of Flowers stamp set and my goal was to make a card that I didn’t have to color in the flowers.

Mission accomplished! Emboss your flowers with white powder on colored card stock and no additional coloring is required.

I did add a little Wink of Stella to the larger flowers to give them some shimmer and shine but you can’t really see that in the photo. This card definitely looks better in person, as most cards do.

Next up, Just Jade…

Just Jade: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (embossed with Greenery folder)
Night of Navy card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Circle Size: 1-7/8″

Embossing is such a quick way to add interest and texture to a piece of card stock.

Add a greeting and boom, you’re done.

Quick & easy card to send off in a hurry.

Next up, Bumblebee… or Bumble Bee?

Stampin’ Up! has always had a fun alliteration to the names of their colors but they’ve confused us all a bit with this one. Is it one word or two? You decide.

Bumblebee: 3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″ (embossed with Greenery folder)
Basic Black: 3/8″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

This card did start with a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Bumblebee card stock but I ended up cutting it down a bit to add a strip of black down the side.

Could you just put the black card stock strip on top of the Bumblebee card stock? Yes. And that probably would have been easier to line up. But I do like how the two card stocks are across one layer.

Blue is my favorite color so I’m loving Misty Moonlight…

Misty Moonlight: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (embossed with Tasteful Textile folder)
Compass paper: 2-1/2″ x 4″
Night of Navy: 3″ x 4″
Circle Size: 2-3/8″
Whisper White card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

This card has a classic layout that you could use with any of your patterned papers. Replace the sailboat image with any other stamped image OR just stamp a greeting in the circle.

And finally, Cinnamon Cider.

I’m trying, I really am, but I just do not like this color. Or maybe it needs to be used in smaller doses.

Cinnamon Cider: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (embossed with Old World Paper folder)
Compass paper: 2-1/2″ x 4″
Night of Navy: 1/4″ x 4″
Circle Size: 2-3/8″
Whisper White card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

I do however LOVE the Old World Paper embossing folder. My favorite color I’ve used it on so far? Petal Pink.

Moral of the story, it’s okay if you don’t like every color.

There are plenty of colors to choose from, so pick YOUR favorites.

You’ll have more fun making cards that way.

Happy Stamping!
