It doesn’t have to take a lot of time, or even a lot of supplies, to make a card.
Today I’m going to show you some easy birthday cards that you could quickly make with your pretty papers…
Just Jade card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Sunflower paper: 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″
Jade patterned paper: 3/4″ x 5-1/4″
This sunflower paper is one of my favorite pretty papers EVER!!
It’s from the Flowers for Every Season paper pack. I just love how the sunflowers POP against the green background.
I also love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates their paper packs so I know just what colors of card stock and ink to use with them AND I can use many patterns in the pack together (like that little strip of green patterned paper down the middle comes in the pack too).
Of course, you can use the same card layout with other pretty papers as well.
Misty Moonlight card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Floral paper: 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″
Blue polka dot paper: 3/4″ x 5-1/4″
The colors and patterns you choose for a card can reflect the person you are sending the card to or a certain emotion. I tend to go for the bright colors and patterns because I like my cards to be CHEERFUL!
Like a little sunshine in their mailbox.
I used a circle from the Stitched Shapes dies, but you could also use a circle punch or any other shape to cut out your greeting.
Grab a piece of pretty paper (or two) and make a card with this layout.
P.S. Both of these cards were made using the August 2020 template from the One Sheet Wonder Card Club.
