The best card is the one you send, so today I have a couple simple ideas for cards that you can quickly make and send to a friend.

Fresh Fig card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Flower paper: 3″ x 4″
Oval size: 1-7/8″ x 2-3/4″

Let the pretty paper do the work for you.

I love pretty papers because they add so much to a card without any work! All you have to do is cut them down to size and tape them on. Easy!

Tranquil Tide card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Flower paper: 3″ x 4″
Circle Size: 2-3/8″

Once you’ve added your pretty paper to your card base all you need to do is add a greeting (I like to cut mine out with shaped punches or dies) and embellishments, if you’d like.

For both of these cards I popped up the greeting shapes with dimensionals to give them a little extra pop. On one I added just a touch of ruffled ribbon for embellishment and on the other, two rhinestones.

Simple cards that will make a difference when sent to a friend.

I hope you’ll pull out some of your pretty paper and make a card for a friend soon.

Happy Stamping!

P.S. Watch this video on how to easily cut your 12×12 pretty papers into 3″x4″ pieces like the ones I used on these cards. It’s a great way to make a stack of cards FAST because you can  get 12 cards out of ONE sheet of pretty paper!

Also, the 2017-2019 In Colors from Stampin’ Up! are retiring and that includes the Tranquil Tide & Fresh Fig that I used on these cards. Stock up on your favorites before they’re gone and make sure to get ink refills for any of these color ink pads you have!
