Do you have any double-sided patterned papers that both sides look good together?
Here’s how you can use them to make quick & easy cards!
This is basically a one sheet wonder idea because you can make 6 cards out of ONE sheet of 12×12 double-sided patterned paper!
Watch this video for tips on how to choose your paper, cut your paper and take a closer look at the 6 cards that I made out of ONE sheet of the beautiful Hydrangea Hill paper!
How to Make these Quick Cards:
Cut your 12×12 paper into three 4″ strips.
Then cut each 4″x12″ strip into two 5-1/4″ long pieces and two 3/4″ pieces.
Flip a 3/4″ piece over and tape it to a 5-1/4″ piece, then tape to your card front and add a greeting. That’s it!
Card bases: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ OR 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ (see video above)
Hydrangea paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Purple patterned paper: 3/4″ x 4″
See how you can use different patterned papers with this technique below:
Use a die or punch to make fun shapes for your greetings.
Grab a piece of double-sided paper and make a quick card or two like these today! And if you want more ideas for your patterned papers, learn how to mix & match them here!
Happy Stamping!

Pls help me with shading & blending using markers.thanks
Hi Nancy,
I have a video with tips for using the Stampin’ Blends markers here: https://www.inkitupwithjessica.com/valentine-cards-with-stampin-blends-tips/ Hope that helps!
I’m confused about this card. How do I attach to cardstock
So both sides of paper are showing. And what do I do with that 3/4 inch strip
Hi Linda, For this card you are taping the larger piece of patterned paper to your card front. Then flip the 3/4″ strip over and tape that on top. That way you’re using the patterns on both sides of the paper.
If you want to show off more of both sides, you might want to try this card: https://www.inkitupwithjessica.com/show-both-sides/
Thanks for asking!
I look forward to joining your group and learning more about making my own cards. I am a facilitator with the Grief Share Program at my church and I love sending notes of encouragement to the participants. These are people that have lost someone, husband, wife, etc., recently and they need love, hugs and lots of encouragement. I want to send cards that I make and that way I can make them special.
Congratulations on 21 years of sharing your beautiful talent with so many others.
Hi Patricia, Glad to have you here! Sending handmade cards with notes of encouragement is a wonderful ministry to others and that is definitely a special thing.
