Pretty patterned papers are the best way to make quick cards!

These 3 cards were made with Stampin’ Up!’s Hand-Penned Paper, but of course, you can make similar cards with other pretty papers following the instructions below.

Plus I’ve got some great tips for using the Tasteful Label dies

Mint Melody card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Floral paper: 3″ x 4″
Misty Moonlight: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and 1/2″ x 4″ embossed with the Tasteful Textile folder

This is probably my most used Tasteful Label die. It’s got a great shape that fits many greetings (like this one from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set) and it can be used in multiple ways on a card.

I’ve layered it on a leftover strip of card stock, but it works great on top of ribbon as well.

Blushing Bride card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Floral paper: 3″ x 4″
Misty Moonlight: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″

For this card I used 2 different Tasteful Label dies and layered them on top of each other.

Tip: To make the banner long enough to layer behind the ticket label, simply cut it in half! Tape the two banner ends to the back of each side of the ticket label so the same amount is showing on each side.

If you’d like to see how that’s done, I’ll show you in this video…

Watch the video above for more tips on using your Tasteful Label dies!

I’ll show you how I cut out multiple dies to save time, the easiest way to stamp on them with both clear and red rubber stamps, and share tips for layering the different shapes.

Pale Papaya card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Floral paper: 3″ x 4″
Misty Moonlight: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″

For this final card, I paired a fancy circle die from the Tasteful Label set with a regular old circle from the Layering Circle dies. I think it adds the perfect border to make the circle greeting pop!

ALL 3 of these cards started with 3″ x 4″ pieces of pretty paper!

Here’s another card that I made with another 3″x 4″ piece of the same Hand-Penned paper…

Highland Heather card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Floral paper: 3″ x 4″
White: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″

It’s amazing how different the same patterned paper can look when you change up the color of card stock you use with it.

For this card, I used a small strip of Highland Heather 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon behind my greeting. Super easy to tape down and it quickly adds texture and shimmer to the card.

Grab a piece of pretty 12×12 patterned paper, cut it up into 3″ x 4″ pieces and make 12 cards! You can make them all the same, or switch them up to make them all different.

Happy Stamping!
