If you’re planning on making handmade Christmas cards this year, consider using pretty patterned papers. They are so much fun to work with! You might have read my recent blog post about making cards with pretty papers. If you haven’t, go take a peek for tips on matching patterns.
In fact, the card in that previous post uses the same layout as the Merry Christmas card shown here. Go grab some of your paper and see if you can make a card using this same layout. Tip: When you cut your 12×12 sheets of paper into 4″ strips they will go a long way when making cards!

This is a good reminder of how effective a CAS, back-to-basics card can be. Nice work.
Great reminder, Jessica. When the holidays get hectic; and you thought you had made and mailed out all your Christmas cards to everyone on your list, all of a sudden in your mailbox you find some greetings from people that you had not heard from in 3 or 4 years so they were not on your list this year! Perhaps they had moved and you didn’t have an updated address. But for whatever reason, all of a sudden you find yourself needing a few extra cards but really short on time. That patterned paper to the rescue with some pretty ribbon and 10 minutes to the rescue!
