Have you ever wondered how to add vellum to your handmade cards?

Vellum can be tricky to work with because glue can make it warp and tape can show through.

 Floral Patterned Paper: 3”x 4”
Basic Black mat: 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”
Vellum: 4” x 5-1/4” and banner cut with Stylish Shapes banner die
Petal Pink card base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”

In this video, I’m going to show you how I made this thank you card with vellum pieces and hid my tape so you can’t see it!

When I use vellum to make a card, the two adhesives I use the most are Stampin’ Seal or glue dots because they really help it stick with no warping.

The biggest tip I have for you is to hide your tape BEHIND other pieces of paper or embellishments!

You can add ribbon to cover a strip of tape or add rhinestones or other embellishments to cover glue dots.

I hope these tips help you to confidently use vellum on your handmade cards.

Happy Stamping!
