What do you do on the inside of handmade cards? That’s a question I get asked frequently and for me, the answer is easy.

If my card base color is dark and writing would be hard to read on it, I add a white insert.

Here’s How to Cut Paper for Inside Cards…

In this quick episode of Ink It Up with Jessica TV I’ll show you how to use a paper cutter to cut paper for the inside of your cards, especially when you’re using dark paper as your card base, as well as give you a few ideas on how you can decorate the insides.

Note that the finished size of my cards is almost always 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. That size fits perfectly in a Medium size envelope from Stampin’ Up! and you can make 2 cards from one 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of card stock.

I hope that helps you with the inside of your cards!

Happy Stamping!

Jessica
