Little cards with a finished size of 3″ x 3″ are perfect for giving with gifts, tucking into lunch bags, or leaving on a co-worker’s desk.

Aren’t they cute!! They are also fun and easy to make because there is less “space” to fill up than a regular size card.

In this video, I’ll show you how to get the most of your card stock when making 3″ x 3″ card bases.

You can get 3 card bases out of an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock or 8 card bases out of a 12″ x 12″ piece of card stock.

Watch the video above for the quick how-to with paper-saving tips!

Then take a closer look at these 3 mini cards that look good enough to eat.

Polished Pink card base: 3″ x 6″ scored at 3″
Striped paper: 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
Basic White: 1/2″ x 2-3/4″

You can use your 3×3 card bases so they open from the top or the side!

There is no “right” way, it’s just personal preference.

Striped paper: 1/2″ x 3″
Pale Papaya: 1/16″ x 3″ (This was a scrap I had left from another project – worked perfectly!)
Basic White: 1/2″ x 1-1/2″

TIP: Start with the largest element of your design (in this case that’s the ice cream cone) and work the rest of your card design around it.

I usually lay all of the elements on my card base to get everything just where I want it BEFORE I start taping things on.

Be sure to watch the video above to see what I did on the INSIDE of this mini card!

It’s not really visible in these photos, but I added a little Wink of Stella to my ice cream scoops to give them some shimmer and shine. It’s those extra details that make all the difference!

Go ahead, make a few 3×3 cards and think about how you can use them to spread a few smiles.

Happy Stamping!
