Supplies for You are Wonderful Card:
In this video, I’m going to show you how to make a card base with your 12×12 patterned papers!
Tips for Making A Card Base with Patterned Papers:
- If you’re using a single-sided patterned paper you can use any piece you want, but if you’re using a double-sided designer series paper you’ll want to find two back-to-back patterns that look good together.
- When you cut your patterned paper to 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, think about which direction you want your pattern to go. This is especially important when you have a paper with an obvious up/down pattern.
- Score your paper at 4-1/4” first, or just fold it in half to make your card base.
- Patterned Paper is not quite as sturdy as card stock so to bulk it up, you might want to add a larger piece of card stock as an insert to give the card some sturdiness and so that you have a nice place to write.
