Recently I was on a LIVE YouTube show called Craft Roulette and had SO much fun! If you watched, thank you!!

The gist of the show is that the host Mary Gunn spins a wheel four times and each time a parameter is picked from one of four different categories.

I thought the wheel was super nice to me when it gave me these parameters to make a card with:

  • Card with a Pocket
  • Colors: Purple + 3
  • Transportation
  • Oval

The card below is what I came up with and made during the show.

What is a Pocket Card?

A pocket card is a card with a pocket that you can tuck a message, a gift card, a bookmark or anything else into.

You might be wondering… where is the pocket on this card?

For my pocket, I got the crazy idea to punch a slit in my rainbow paper so that I could insert a little secret message!

How to Make a Pocket Card:

The punch I used to make this little “pocket” is old, no longer available and I’m not sure what it was called. Sorry!

You could use any similar punch or die to create a pocket on your card front OR cut out a slit with your paper cutter.

The key is to ONLY put adhesive around the EDGES of your paper with the pocket (the rainbow paper on this card) so that you are able to slide something in.

Watch the replay of my Craft Roulette episode & see how I made this pocket card here:

Now it’s your turn to give it a try!

Make a pocket card, take a photo of it, and share it during our next Sunday night Show & Tell on Facebook.

Happy Stamping!

Jessica

P.S. Don’t forget to send the pocket card you make to a friend!
