Recently I was on a LIVE YouTube show called Craft Roulette and suddenly, with the spin of the wheel, I had to make a slimline card. As a regular A2 size card maker, this was a bit of a challenge!

What is a Slimline Card?

A slimline card is a longer card with a finished size of 3-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. It fits in a regular business-sized envelope.

How to make a Slimline Card Base:

  1. Cut your card stock to 7″ x 8-1/2″
  2. Score along the 7″ side at 3-1/2″ or just fold your card stock in half and give it a good crease with a bone folder.

The real challenge for me was that it’s a whole different space to fill up than a regular A2 size card. After the show, I’ve been making more slimline cards and feel like I’m finally getting the hang of it.  I’ll share more of my slimline cards soon.

Now it’s your turn to give it a try!

Make a slimline card, take a photo of it, and share it during our next Sunday night Show & Tell on Facebook.

Happy Stamping!

P.S. Don’t forget to send the slimline card you make to a friend!
