“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” ~William Arthur Ward
There are a million reasons to send thank you cards and most people don’t send a single one all year.
Thank you cards aren’t just for when you’re given a gift.
You could even just say “Thank you for being YOU!”
So here are some quick & easy thank you card ideas…
When my daughter made this thank you card recently I knew I had to share it as a reminder to make some thank you cards.
Mint Macaron card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Patterned Paper: 3″ x 4″
Tranquil Tide: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
Pear Pizzazz: 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″
and it inspired me to make this thank you card…
Mint Macaron card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Patterned Paper: 3″ x 4″
Basic Black: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
Tranquil Tide: 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″
I’d also like to point out that I successfully tied a bow! It doesn’t happen very often so when it does it’s worth a mention. 🙂
Tips for making a thank you card like these:
- Start by cutting up a 12×12 piece of pretty paper into 3×4 pieces. Here’s a video that shows you how easy it is to make a stack of cards with ONE pretty sheet of 12×12 paper:Â www.inkitupwithjessica.com/3x4cards
- Tie ribbon/twine around whichever layers you’d like! I tied mine around the second layer, Rachel tied her around all three layers.
- I find it easier to stamp the greeting and then punch it out. Turn your punch over so that you can line up your stamped image.
- Pop your main greeting up with dimensionals. It adds just a little something extra!
- That’s it. Easy peasy!
Grab some supplies and make a thank you card then send it off to someone you are thankful for.
Happy Stamping!

Love both of these cards, Jessica! Your daughter is very talented. So are you! I don’t have a big problem tying bows, but I know you have mentioned before that you struggle with it. Keep it up and you won’t have a problem tying those bow! 🙂
These Thank You cards are beautiful! I love that they can be personalized and are easy to make!
This post amazes me! I love your ideas and how the cards turned out. I had no clue there was such a thing as a “Pretty Label Punch.” I am definitely going to share your post, so others can learn and make a difference by saying “thank you.”
Thank you Kim! I appreciate you spreading the word about thank you cards.
Oh these are beautiful! In my husband’s line of work, we send a lot of thank you notes. What a great idea to make my own and make it like more of a gift than a piece of paper!
Thank you Meghan! Making your own thank you cards adds that extra personal touch that will make your husband stand out in his work.
Hand made cards are so unique. I have made some cards and they are so much fun.
