Grab your masking tape, painters tape or washi tape to give this masking tape technique a try! You can make sketchy stripes in all colors to make fun backgrounds for your cards.
Just tear off a piece of tape a bit longer than your piece of card stock, place it on your ink pad to ink it up, then “stamp” it onto your card stock by running your finger across the top of it. Repeat as you’d like with different colors of ink and/or different widths of tape for a fun striped background.
Still not quite sure how it works? Watch this video…
Now go grab some tape and give it a try.
Happy Stamping!

This is really neat, I’m gonna try it out during my next card-making session. Thanks.
I have done this technique with painters tape and love it. I even tought it to my friend, when I went to her house for Stampaway. After making the tape lines, we stamped on it with shadow type floral stamps in black.
Great card! Is the tape sticky side down?
Thanks!
Yes, the sticky side is down!
