When it comes to making your own greeting cards, you might think that you need to have a lot of supplies, but the truth is you don’t!
Monochromatic cards are a great way to make the most of your supplies and they look fantastic!
Highland Heather card base: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
Whisper White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (one for front, one for inside) and 1/2″ x 2-1/2″
Highland Heather: 3″ x 4-1/4″
Monochromatic means that you use one color (or shades of one color, in this case, purple) with a neutral color (in this case, white).
Monochromatic Card Making Tips:
- Stamp your own monochromatic background! Use the same color ink as your card stock. For this card I stamped butterflies in Highland Heather ink on Highland Heather card stock.
- How to cut the White card stock for the front & inside of this card: WATCH THIS VIDEO You’ll be left with a little strip to use for the greeting on the front!
- Stamp your main image in black ink to make it stand out, but color it in with shades of your main monochromatic color.
- Keep it simple, but don’t be afraid to add little details like a punched out image and a banner cut end to your greeting.
Give it a try and make a monochromatic card using your favorite color!
Happy Stamping!
