6×6 Scrapbook Calendar

This layout is from the 6×6 Desktop Calendar that I am making for a Christmas gift.  The two sided design makes flipping the pages a little confusing sometimes, so I always use post-it notes and the template that comes with the calendar to label the pages before I start.  I also like to use matching Designer Series paper on the pages for a month.  That makes it easy for the recipient to know which scrapbook page goes with which month. Thanksgiving Card

Here’s a simple card using the Apple Cider designer series paper for a quick and colorful background.  The pumpkin is stamped in Basic Black ink and then colored in with markers.  Use the brush tip of the Pumpkin Pie marker and sweep it from the top of the pumpkin to the bottom to mimic the lines on a real pumpkin.  Then highlight the solid black lines with Really Rust.

Name Banner

        My daughter Rachel helped me make this banner for her room.  Our inspiration was the “happy” banner on page 23 of the Fall/Winter 2007 Stampin’ Up! catalog.  We used the Flowers for You Designer Series paper, Fairy Tale Ribbon Originals, some miscellaneous grosgrain ribbon and the On Board Simon Lower chipboard.  Rachel is only 3, but she picked the pattern that she wanted on each letter and traced each letter with a pencil.   I cut them out, used a glue stick to attach them to the chipboard and then sanded the edges with fine sand paper. …
