This card is great for using up your patterned paper scraps! I used my 1″ Square punch to make the square pieces so that they would all be exactly the same size and so that I could “fussy cut” some of the patterns. When you are making your squares remember that you will be putting them on the diagonal, so be sure to cut any patterns that way.
The idea for this card came from a sketch challenge on the Operation Write Home blog. If you are having trouble getting started, sketches are a great way to get your creative juices flowing.
Don’t forget to decorate the inside! When I use dark colors of card stock for my card base I like to add a white insert to make it easier to write in. This stamp set is fun because it has matching greetings for the outside and inside of the card.
