Need to make a lot of cards fast?
In this video, I’m going to show you how you can make 12 cards from 1 sheet of 12×12 patterned paper quickly!
Cut patterned paper into 3×4 pieces
Start by cutting your patterned paper into three 4″ strips and then cut each of those strips into 3″ lengths. You’ll end up with twelve 3” x 4” pieces of pretty patterned paper to make cards with!
Cut card stock mats
The perfect size mat for all those pretty paper pieces is 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”. For this set of cards I used Basic Black but you can pick any color that coordinates with your paper. Get 6 mats out of one sheet of 8-1/2” x 11” card stock by cutting three strips of 3-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ card stock and then cutting each of those strips in half at 4-1/4″. Watch the video above to see how it’s done.
Cut card bases
Cut twelve card bases that are 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4”. You’ll need 6 pieces of 8-1/2″ x 11″ card stock to make 12 card bases. I used all Petal Pink card bases for all my cards but you could also use multiple different colors of card bases to change up your cards too.
Assemble
Now it’s time to tape your cards together, add your greetings, and any embellishments you’d like. For some of my cards I added a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ embossed card stock or printed vellum.
You can make them all different or all the same, whatever your preference.
I share lots more ideas on how to use your patterned papers to make cards in my One Sheet Wonder Card Club.
So there you go, grab a piece of paper and make 12 quick cards.
Happy Stamping!
