Wish I could get more “barebones” with my supplies like you are, but have TONS of 12 x 12 papers. Thinking of easiest/best way to pare down stamp sets, paper and stuff. I have 12 x 12 white shelf units from Hobby Lobby (on sale when I got them) that are easy to assemble and sturdy. I have one with current papers and then I have a large cabinet of shelves with past paper selections and then a LARGE acrylic (I guess) unit I bought from an ad locally that holds LOTS of other 12 x 12 papers. My 8 1/2 x 11 I have in hanging files with a file folder in front for scraps. I find this great and have them in alpha order by series. I’d hate to count how many stamp sets I have that have never seen ink. Some I dearly love and could never part with, but others it’s “WHAT was I thinking???” Stamp sets are in a wonderful CD rack (30, I believe), in a shelved hutch type piece, in a large hutch piece, and old Christmas in a special area. I also have some ODB stamps, and few others. MUST thin out.
For my scrapbook papers (12×12), I purchased several of the cheaper plastic 12x12ish hold all’s from Michael’s when they were on sale, like 3 for $10 or something. I inherited a set of bowling lockers a little wider and a good bit deeper than the 12″ and I can stack 3 of the plastic holdall’s inside with room on the sides for the smaller books of paper. I wrote on the plastic boxes in sharpie to identify what was in each keeper, that way I can just take the label off with alcohol should I put something different inside. I had the set of wire racks specifically for papers but the little tabs that hold them together kept popping out and it took up tons of space on my countertop I use for my crafting. It was also difficult to figure out how to label the shelves and equally difficult to raise up the paper to find something specific in the stash ( I tend to be lazy that way) making it so I had to take most of the stack off the wire shelf to find what I was looking for.
