We’re less than a month away from Valentine’s Day so I thought I’d share some quick and easy ideas for things you can make.

I made all of this from one sheet of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper. I love the basic red & white patterns that come in this 6×6 stack!

Let’s take a closer look at these Valentine cards & treats…

First, who doesn’t love chocolate? For a quick treat idea, wrap 3 Hershey’s Nugget Bars in pretty paper, pop them in a 2″ x 8″ cello bag and tie the top with ribbon. I did trim a bit of the cello bag off the top with scissors. You can fit more than 3 bars in a bag but while we all love chocolate we should probably limit how much we eat. 🙂 Plus you’ll get more of these treat bags out of one bag of chocolate bars. By cutting your paper into 1″ x 3″ strips you can make four of these treat bags out of one 6″x6″ piece of pretty paper.

If you already have the perfect Valentine gift picked out for someone, here’s a little 3″ x 3″ gift card that you can give with it…

Circle Size: 2-7/16″
Heart Paper: 2″ x 3″
Real Red gift card base: 3″ x 6″ scored at 3″

With a few cranks of your Big Shot handle the Stitched Shapes Framelits will cut out your circle AND add that fancy little stitched border around the edges. Brilliant! I used to cut my circle and then use a paper-piercing tool & template to get the same look. That took a lot more time!

The Happy Valentine’s Day greeting is popped up on the card with dimensionals and then I added a little heart down in the corner. If this is for your sweetie you might add a lip print stamp instead.

Want to send some regular size cards? Here’s an idea for you…

Circle Size: 2-7/16″
Heart Paper: 3″ x 4″
Real Red: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″

The pretty hearts paper and the framelit dies do all the hard work on this card. Truly it’s really easy to put together. Once again the Happy Valentine’s Day greeting is popped up on the card with dimensionals and a little heart was added to the bottom right corner.

Do you see how easy it is to make a gift card or a full size card in a similar design? Don’t limit yourself to one size card! While I usually make my cards a finished size of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ there is really no reason you can’t make them any size you want. Get creative!
