Looking for a quick and easy way to color in your stamped images? Try watercolor pencils!

Flirty Flamingo card base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Polka Dot paper: 2″ x 5″
Basic White circle: 2″ Circle Punch
Coastal Cabana circle: 2-3/8″ Circle Punch

Watercolor Pencil Tips:

  • Stamp your image with a permanent ink like Jet Black Stazon. It’s great for stamping images you want to watercolor because it won’t smear. Plus you can use it to stamp your greeting too!
  • There are fancy ways to watercolor and there’s the easy way, I choose the fast and easy way… Color your image in fully with your watercolor pencils as if you were coloring in a coloring book. You can leave a little bit of white space here and there if you’d like to get fancy with highlights.
  • Use a blender pen to go over one color at a time and blend out the pencil lines a bit.
  • Clean your blender pen off on scratch paper in between colors.

That’s it! Easy peasy. I hope you’ll give watercoloring with watercolor pencils and blender pens a try.

Happy Stamping!
