Have you ever looked at a pretty piece of patterned paper and felt stuck about how to use it?
Today I’m sharing a one sheet wonder card making tutorial that shows you how to take ONE sheet of 12×12 patterned paper and turn it into a whole stack of handmade cards!

Turn One Sheet of Patterned Paper Into a Stack of Cards
This cutting layout was originally featured in a Stampin’ Up! catalog, and while the instructions were helpful, they weren’t quite how my brain works when I’m cutting paper. After designing one sheet wonder templates for over 10 years, I translated this layout into a format that’s easier and more intuitive for me to use.
Be sure to watch the video below for the full step-by-step process.

In the video, I walk you through:
- How to choose the right patterned paper
- How I prefer to cut and organize the pieces
- How to turn every single piece into a finished card

You’re welcome, Colleen, I’m so glad you find the downloadable templates helpful. Happy Stamping in the New Year!
I’ve recently broken two (2!) cutting boards and I would like some idea of what I should purchase to replace them. I’m thinking of getting a “guiletine” type. Do you have recommendations? What do you use?
Hi Elizabeth, I use Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer: https://www.stampinup.com/products/paper-trimmer?demoid=20086 and love it. Personally I’m not a fan of the guillotine style cutter. I do also have a very old rotary cutter that I like but the older it gets the less precise my cuts are. Thanks for asking!
Hi, Love the inspirational template. For someone who is slow in ideals. Thanks for sharing. I love the card with (expressing heartfelt gratitude) Is the stamp from Stampin Up?
Hi Evelyn, You’re welcome, I’m glad you find it inspiring. The stamp is from the Stampin’ Up! Gathering Moments stamp set: https://www.stampinup.com/products/gathering-moments-cling-stamp-set-english?demoid=20086
Thank you!
