Take your handmade cards up a notch by using some creative card folds!
While you normally may just fold your card stock in half to make a card, there are SO MANY other fun ways that you can make your card base.
Today I’m sharing the first in a series of Creative Card Folds.
In this first video, I’m going to show you how to make a Snowman Christmas Card with a double flap creative fold.
Be sure to watch until the end to get a sneak peek of next week’s creative fold!
———————— Paper Sizes ————————
Snowman front piece: 3-1/8″ x 3″ (may want to do 3-3/4″ x 3″)
Real Red: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ scored at a little more than 4″
Mitten paper: 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
Coastal Cabana: 4″ x 4-1/2″ scored at a little more than 4″
Whisper White insert: 3″ x 3-3/4″
Striped paper: 3-3/4″ x 5″
Real Red: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Coastal Cabana base: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Tip: When I say I scored at a little more than 4″, I do mean just a tiny bit more, not even to the little 4-1/16″ mark. I wanted my flap ends to just almost meet up with the edge of the flap or card stock piece it was meeting on the other side. If you don’t like to score measurements, Just bend your card stock around the piece behind it and give it a good crease.
How cute are those snowmen? I just cut them out of the Let It Snow paper but you could also start with white card stock and stamp your own images on the front piece.
